Grrr!! Acrylic paints are wonderful to work with, especially because they cut the work hours in half!, but I am exceedingly frustrated with them at the moment. I have a million dried gobs on my palette (thankfully I use wax paper sheets) and have to keep pushing more color out every five minutes. Being it perpetual summer where I live, it doesn't help that I've got the fans going in every room, but it's either waste paint or sweat it out. Truthfully, I'd rather waste an hundred tubes of paint than suffer in the heat. Not "green", I know, but I don't care. Now, what is driving me up the f-ing wall right now is that within the 5-7 minutes of me putting fresh color on my palette it has dried out. And this keeps happening when I still need that color. I don't push out excess color, and I'm using glazing liquid. I normally use oils, that's why I'm irritated. I'm used to having that extra time. This didn't have any other point than being an outlet for me to vent my frustrations at the current moment. OK, break time's over, back to work!
